The Farmhouse

Brief:The clients, a couple in their sixties, wanted to upgrade their old and bulky sound system. They had a strict budget, which was to cover CD, FM radio (presets to be ready-programmed) with a discreet antenna and the ability to listen in the kitchen or their newly built conservatory. Neither was at all interested in a hi-tech system; they wanted a neat and tidy job.

Result: We specified a one-box CD receiver; existing speakers were remounted higher up on the kitchen wall to increase clarity; discreet cabling was run behind kitchen units to the new remote speakers; a high quality switcher was installed beside the main unit located in a kitchen cupboard, and an antenna installed inside the roof space. Only the speakers are on display and the job came in on time and under budget. The clients were delighted.
